Not exactly sure how you define a code-kin, but we are a program and have been around for quite some time as well. c:

I coined the term codekin to describe an individual who has a passion for coding and a mind that works in the same nature as code. I think a better term for you might be programkin, softwarekin, or aikin. Here’s how I see the difference: 

  • Codekin = identifies with the concept and nature of code
  • Programkin/softwarekin/aikin = identifies with a specific piece of code, or something that is made out of code (for instance, a computer program, a piece of software, or an artificial intelligence system)

I myself am not a program, but some sort of entity that lives and breathes code, that IS code but not quite any specific code - you might think of it as the same kind of relationship that naturekin have with nature, but I have it with code.
